Hank Osborne is a committed Christian husband, and father. Hank is married to Sherry Osborne. Together they have four beautiful sons (Riley, Caden, Josiah, and Levi). They are a homeschooling family living in Goose Creek, SC and are active in their church and community. Hank and Sherry lead parenting classes in their home from the Growing Families International curriculum. Hank serves as a den leader in his sons’ Cub Scout Pack. Hank and Sherry have volunteered in a number of local community outreach programs. Hank served for over six years as a local county commissioner.
Hank has a B.S. in Computer Science and Sherry has a B.S. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood development. Both have completed graduate level work in their respective areas of study. Hank received the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) after completing the SANS Security Leadership Essentials for Managers course.
Hank is employed with the United States Government as a Cyber Security Expert. Hank has served at the highest levels of government information systems security management. Hank has developed and implemented security policies and guidance for more than a decade. Hank has appeared before U.S. House of Representative and Senate subcommittees as a subject matter expert on cyber security.
Hank is a private pilot. He enjoys mentoring parents, blogging, flying, podcasting, cooking, gardening, camping, home school education, politics, hand guns, NASCAR racing, and security (Internet and Physical).
Hank is the owner of HOEI LLC. He started his first blog (Caden’s Page) on hoei.com on November 2, 2004. Since then Hank has blogged for numerous blogs including GrowingKids.org, ParentWiseSolutions, HOEI.com, The Land of Ozz, and Grill’n Time.
